This is a record of improvised pieces for solo drumset. The fifteen selections were culled from many hours of improvisations recorded over several days. Most of these pieces are excerpts from much longer takes, edited with the hope of putting forward the most coherent and concise statements, and compiling an album with a unified narrative thread.

In the current climate, it’s not lost on me that using my time to record an improvised solo drum album is an unimaginable privilege.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this record will go to the Native Women's Association of Canada, which aims to support Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse people (www.nwac.ca).

This album is dedicated to my mother. Unfortunately, she’ll probably hate this record and find it boring. Sorry mom. I love you.
